Special screening in the presence of producers Lewin Grabo and Patrick Veit, followed by a film discussion

Environmental activist Lewin and filmmaker Patrick embark on an inspiring journey to find out how a more sustainable life is possible in the face of the climate crisis. They visit various ecovillages and communities. Their journey begins at the Sieben Linden ecovillage, where Lewin and Patrick learn from the residents how to drastically reduce their ecological footprint through small-scale cycles. They see how the community is 75% self-sufficient with fruit and vegetables from the permaculture garden, builds houses from natural materials and generates energy self-sufficiently using solar and wood sources. At ZEGG, Lewin and Patrick immerse themselves in a community that has achieved a non-violent and socially sustainable way of life through communication, co-determination and conflict resolution. They experience how circle structures strengthen shared responsibility and consideration of individual needs and how listening and talking together promotes social cohesion. In the Sonnenwald community, Lewin and Patrick are shown how regenerative agriculture promotes climate protection and enables economic activity geared towards the common good. They discover how solidarity farming and the cooperative use of resources creates a balance between people with different financial means.

Their journey ultimately takes Lewin and Patrick to the Blaue Blume lakeside estate, where they learn how to tackle the climate crisis with mindfulness and a playful approach. They see how the residents develop a sustainable culture through self-reflection and a deep connection to nature, which sets socially transformative processes in motion. THE FOUR DIMENSIONS OF SUSTAINABILITY documents Lewin and Patrick's journey to inspiring communities that use ecological, social, economic and cultural approaches to show how sustainable living is possible and how each individual can contribute to tackling the climate crisis. After the screening, there will be an opportunity to talk to the filmmakers.
