Magazinvorstellung: Edition Paratexte – Ann Cottens Schuhe

In the organizer's words:

"Edition Paratexte" is a literary magazine published annually for the first time in 2024. Writers donate a thing, an object, to the magazine: an object as a paratext.

In the first issue, the author Ann Cotten drew directly from the full and made singular, plural and handed over two bags filled to the brim with her old shoes. These worn-out shoes set the tone for the texts and contributions.
Mira Mann, Alexander Kluge, Eckhart Nickel, Jörg Döring, Catrin Altzschner, Richard Schumm, Martin Frank and Ann Cotten herself have freely spun their thoughts and text forms from their footwear. A reportage leads the way, walking in step with poetry and prose.
