Malva

The 21-year-old singer and composer, photographer and poet Malva loves the music of Warhaus and Adrianne Lenker just as much as Nina Simone and Bobbie Gentry. But first and foremost among her role models is Patti Smith. Not so much because of the music, but more as an artist, a woman, a person. Followed by Mascha Kaléko, Simone de Beauvoir and dodie, because of whom she started making music at the age of just 12. In November 2022, she got off to a flying start with her debut "Das Grell in meinem Kopf". What followed were rave reviews (see below), from "amazing" (Jörg Feyer, Rolling Stone) to "strong" (Andreas Müller, "Soundcheck" on RBB) to "impressive" (SZ) and "heart-warmingly beautiful" (Deutschlandfunk), as well as numerous radio features and a few selected TV appearances (including "druckfrisch"). And of course, the considerable number of concerts should not be completely ignored, because although the rush on the live stages in 2023 was immense after two corona years, Malva was lucky to receive numerous requests and offers. She played her first gigs abroad in Austria supporting her friend Oskar Haag, toured the Bavarian province with her great role model Jesper Munk and quickly sold out her own vinyl release show in one of her favorite Munich clubs, the Milla, in advance. Several festival appearances followed in the summer, with the absolute highlight at the "Heimatsound" in the Oberammergau Passion Theater. Their new album will be released on May 24th!
