With around 150 stalls, the weekly market on the cathedral square is the largest in Münster. On Wednesdays and Saturdays in particular, visitors flock to the city center for a wide range of products: fruit and vegetables, fish and seafood, spices, oil and antipasti, countless types of cheese, honey, bread and cakes, meat and sausage, game and poultry and - especially in late summer - a veritable sea of flowers.

The predominantly regional and nutritious range is complemented by genuine Dutch licorice, wickerwork and costume jewelry, thick socks and thin batik shirts. For a small snack after shopping, there are fried fish, bratwurst and potato pancakes - or would you prefer just a coffee? You can meet up for lunch at the stand-up cafés in front of the cathedral. The weekly markets in Geist- and Mauritzviertel and the other districts may be much smaller, but here too the offerings are impressive in terms of freshness and variety.
