The documentary sheds light on the years in which Maria Callas came of age as a woman and artist - in Athens during the Second World War - as well as the years after 1957, when the now internationally renowned diva reconnected with Greece. Her most important artistic achievements and little-known debuts, the personalities who influenced her most and the key stages of her artistic development, but also the social and political conditions in Greece during the Second World War, the environment of the Greek Civil War in the 1940s and 1950s and the unjust attacks she was subjected to; these are the main narrative threads used to tell the story of Callas' eventful, novelistic life, which always oscillated between tragedy and triumph.
