One year, two months, five days, ten hours and twenty-three minutes since Anna.

Tim (30, less than 1 km away) is still wallowing in self-pity and becoming a cynical observer of "hip" Munich city life.

Lost between ergonomically optimized desks in faceless open-plan offices and interchangeable beauties at roof terrace parties, Tim searches disillusioned for a spark of meaning. With the help of his friends Vincenzo and Medina, he immerses himself in the absurdities of modern dating, tests the concept of 'love at first sight' with excessive swiping and asserts himself in petty small-talk duels - until he falls in love and time freezes.

Frostbeben tells of the big and small shocks of life and of the question: when is it worth waking up from your own movie and riding an e-scooter through trendy late summer districts crying?

Maximilian Lorenz, born in Munich in 1992, is an author, stand-up comedian and content creator. After years of living in the USA, Canada and England, he can now mainly be found in the cafés of Berlin Neukölln, enjoying the last years before the final gentrification.

"Frostbeben" is his debut and will be published by Schillo Verlag on September 20, 2024.
