Female a cappella bands are not as entertaining as their male counterparts? Their sound is too classical and you can't party, laugh and dance like that? The MEDLZ from Dresden have been proving that these are simply clichés for over 25 years. And the 90s didn't just consist of "Mr. Vain" and "What is love".
Anyone who experienced the 90s knows that they were more musically diverse than almost any other decade. Some people partied to "The Prodigy", while others adored the Backstreet Boys and still others listened to STING, Guano Apes, Alanis Morisette, Phil Collins or Michael Jackson up and down.
Even film music from the 90s, such as "Pulp Fiction" or "Kevin Alone at Home", is still recognized today and brings a grin or a smile to everyone's face. Not to forget: PUR or Herbert Grönemeyer were also high up in the charts of the 90s.
The list of emotions, musical genres and songs is long. All the more entertaining is this concert evening, which once again has something for everyone. Because anyone who has ever experienced the MEDLZ knows that being close to the audience is the most important thing for them.
And as always, their overriding credo is: entertainment! Their shows are self-deprecating and funny - at the same time charming and deeply moving.
With just four voices, the MEDLZ manage to either bring every concert hall to the boil or create an emotional silence in which you can hear the famous pin drop.
They impress above all with their modern sound, which never lacks bass and beat - on the contrary. With well-dosed percussion, they manage to create pop and rock sounds, so that many a guest only realized afterwards that they had just experienced an a cappella concert.
