Introducing the Munich Urban Colab:

The city of the future is emerging in Munich - projects from the Munich Urban Colab

The Munich Urban Colab is located in the creative quarter in Neuhausen-Nymphenburg and was established by UnternehmerTUM, Europe's leading center for innovation and start-ups, and the City of Munich. Start-ups, established companies, scientists, talents, creatives and the City of Munich work together with citizens to develop and test solutions for urban challenges.

The team from the City of Munich - based in the Department of Labor and Economic Affairs - will introduce the Munich Urban Colab in more detail as part of the "Meet the City" event series at the City Library and present three current projects:

• At the "digital health & care" conference, start-ups, care facilities and caregiving relatives come together every year to discuss digital solutions in care and drive innovation. Where are the opportunities for digital applications and what contribution can they make to curbing the care crisis?
• In the 1,200 square meter MakerSpace high-tech workshop at Munich Urban Colab, young people developed ideas and prototypes for the city library of the future as part of a project week.
• The "Zero-Waste-Hub" in the Munich Urban Colab is set to make an important contribution to resource and climate protection and to the sustainable development of the state capital in the future. How can the volume of waste in Munich be reduced and resources conserved? How can Munich become a "zero-waste city"?
