"Do I still have the same potential?" - This is how Mia opens the first official single from her newly announced album "silber". After more than five years in an industry that can be dazzlingly beautiful and terribly dark, Mia Morgan draws a vulnerably honest balance in "echo": dreams come true on stage, but behind it, parts of the soul put into lyrics and music degenerate into a currency that loses value. Individuals become tokens and your own face in the backstage mirror becomes someone else's. "echo" is about the silencing of the inner voice of an artist who earns money with her voice. Mia's echo, the voice of the girl she used to be, simply no longer calls her back. In constantly questioning her own external image, she has lost touch with her inner self. By presenting this perspective on her own career, Mia Morgan proves once again that this is exactly what she was made for: the lived dream of rock'n'roll. You can hear the love for this in the raw riff and the drums of the song, which are reminiscent of 90s alternative. It sounds less artificial in "echo", but just as big and impressive as the previous releases "Niemand" or "Mitten in den Massen". echo" no longer has anything to do with the wave pop that Mia's music has been characterized by since her "Gruftpop" EP, and which recently flashed up again in "Gift". Producer Lukas Korn has managed to translate the sound of Mia Morgan's 90s childhood into a modern sound and Mia Morgan's voice sounds brighter, clearer and more present than ever before. The new album, which Mia will release independently via "WIEDERGÄNGER" with the support of the Hamburg label My Favorite Chords, promises to drive this return forward in the German-speaking world and whets the appetite for her headlining tour through Germany and Austria announced for March and April.
