Michael Holtschulte - Tot, aber lustig!

MICHAEL HOLTSCHULTE, born in 1979, lives and works as a cartoonist in Essen. He had his first cartoon publications at the age of 15 in the Westdeutsche Allgemeine Zeitung. Numerous publications followed, so that after studying German, political science and social psychology, he was able to set up his own business as an illustrator and cartoonist, living his dream, as he says. Today, he draws for numerous newspapers and magazines (including Süddeutsche Zeitung, WAZ, Eulenspiegel, Deadline, Return, Trailer) and regularly publishes books with Lappan. MICHAEL HOLTSCHULTE is very active online and has built up a large audience on social media. Over 350,000 fans follow him on Facebook alone and regularly enjoy his cartoons.
He has his own stage show, but also regularly performs under the title "Zwei Stricher packen aus" together with Oli Hilbring, with whom he also runs the podcast of the same name about cartoon drawing.

As a guest on TV Total, the otherwise rather fidgety Stefan Raab gave him all the time in the world. He celebrated his premiere as a stage performer with his colleague Oli Hilbring at the 24-hour cartoon festival. As "ambassadors of good humor", the duo performed their cartoons and video clips alongside greats such as Ralf König, Hauck [&] Bauer and Til Mette so brilliantly that even the spoiled Berlin audience was in tears of laughter. Michael is on tour throughout Germany with his new solo program "Das Ende ist nah! He has performed at the open-air festival Bochum TOTAL, at Litpop in Leipzig, at Extraschicht, at various comedy mixshows and in numerous German cities.
