DIY circus with the scent of wood. Intoxicating | From 8 years
Craftsmanship meets circus art: Michael Zandl, David Eisele and Kolja Huneck combine their passion for tools, fresh wood and object manipulation. The contemporary circus piece tells of the human desire for occupation, the path from the initial vision to the finished workpiece, the tragedy of work and the relationship between machine and man. Three obsessed individuals discover and transform their space and themselves to share a unique DIY experience with the audience.
Michael Zandl, David Eisele and Kolja Huneck met while studying at the Codarts Circus Arts school in Rotterdam. During the creation process of their solo pieces "Janus", "Cycle" and "CM_30", they discovered their shared passion for building and craftsmanship. Their love of wood, tools and machines brought them together and allowed them to create "Sawdust Symphony" collectively as good friends with complementary artistic approaches.
