DJ workshop for girls* from Milbertshofen

Do you want to know exactly what DJs do on the decks and how to do it yourself? Are you wondering what equipment you need, where all the cables go and where you get the music from? Do you want to develop DJ sets and mix good transitions between your favorite tracks?

In this workshop you will learn all the important DJ basics in eight sessions. You will create your own DJ set, rehearse it intensively on professional equipment and play it live for your friends on a club system at the final party!

You can take part if:

you are between 14 and 18 years old and live in Milbertshofen

you are a girl or inter-, non-binary, trans or agender person

you have little or no experience with DJing, music and technology

you can come to all or many of the eight dates

What you will take away from the workshop

You know the basic terms and techniques of DJing

You know different DJ equipment, can plug it in and operate it

You can put together track lists and mix transitions between songs

You can continue learning on your own if you have a deeper interest in DJing.

Your workshop leader & contact person:

Kim Ramona Ranalter aka Kim_Twiddle composes music for theater plays and installations, performs stage music, electronic live acts and DJ sets and passes on technical knowledge to young people. With the queer-feminist association WUT-Kollektiv and her own training courses at Studio_Störfrequenz*, Kim is committed to the visibility and empowerment of FINTA* people in the music business. Hard facts:

The workshop takes place every Thursday from December 12th from 4 - 7 pm in two rooms of the Kulturhaus Milbertshofen(a total of eight dates and a final event, there is a break during the Christmas vacations...)

ATTENTION:The contents of the course build on each other, please only register if you can come on all or many days!
