Withthe program "Mit Sinn und Vagant", the ensemble [hanse]Pfeyfferey takes the audience into the fascinating world of the early modern period in and around Bremen.

For their second residency project at the Center for Art, the three musicians Lilli Pätzold, Laura Dümpelmann and Alexandra Mikheeva have invited top-class guests from Baseland Hamburg: Ann Allen (shawm and pommer), Melissa Sandel (dulcian) and Dr. Tin Cugelj (trombone, auditory history) expand the trio musically, Daniel Dominguez Teruel cooperates in the field of sound design and light artist Katrin Bethge contributes visual art. This makes "Mit Sinn und Vagant" a holistic concert experience.

[hanse]Pfeyfferey is a loud ensemble on Renaissance wind instruments, specializing in improvised and rediscovered music from around 1500 .The music that was part of everyday life and festivities in the Renaissance can be heard on cornett, shawm, slide trumpet, pommer and trombone .The sound of the instruments was as moving then as it is today. The timelessness of human themes such as love, pain, lust and dance enables an immediate and personal connection between music, players and listeners.
