"Ember nests of anti-democratic behaviour" can be found time and again in the police force, according to the current Federal Minister of Defence Boris Pistorius in 2020, because Germany has a police problem: right-wing chat groups through to right-wing extremist networks, racial profiling, racism and violence are named with impressive regularity as the individual cases that they are not. Journalist and author Mohamed Amjahid has spent almost ten years investigating the system behind police violence and is calling for a debate on the
parallel world of the police. "You don't trust the state and the police apparatus because the Office for the Protection of the Constitution helped build the NSU," wrote musician Danger Dan. Alles nur Einzelfälle? is not about artistic freedom, but about investigative research, the results of which must have consequences. What results and what consequences? Amjahid talks about this with Salon host Mariel Reichard.
