A musical reading with Benno Fürmann and the Moka Efti Orchestra, the original big band from the hit series "Babylon Berlin": excerpts from "Der nasse Fisch" by Volker Kutscher, the novel based on "Babylon Berlin" - with graphics by Arne Jysch

Volker Kutscher published the historical crime novel "Der nasse Fisch" in 2008. This was the start of a new series of successful books and the basis for the first two seasons of the TV series "Babylon Berlin", in which Benno Fürmann shines in one of the leading roles as Colonel Günter Wendt.

The jazz band "Moka Efti Orchestra", which was founded especially for the series, played a leading musical role. Texts from Kutscher's novel are now brought to life in a musical reading - thanks to Fürmann's intense acting, sometimes with a powerful voice, sometimes almost toneless, but above all incredibly multi-faceted, so that every Babylon character comes to life in a truly visual way. The evening is complemented by graphics by Arne Jysch and his graphic novel of the same name. The result is a very special stage show and a gripping triad of music, readings and images that bring 1920s Berlin and the Weimar Republic vividly to life.
