Family play at Christmas time / ages 6 and up

Momo is a child who lives in the ruins of an amphitheater and doesn't have much except a special ability: Momo can listen particularly well and thus help people to rediscover their imagination. When the Grey Lords appear and start stealing people's time, Momo does everything she can to save her friends. Together with the turtle Cassiopeia and Master Hora, the Keeper of Time, she confronts the Grey Lords and fights for the importance of time, friendship and enjoying the finer things in life.

Isn't this battle particularly difficult to fight when we are standing in long queues at the supermarket at Christmas time, shopping for Christmas presents on the internet at the last minute? That's why Momo is also an appeal to listen, to fall out of time together and to defy the horror with a smile on our faces.

Based on the novel by Michael Ende, director Markolf Naujoks, who is already staging "The Island of Dr. Moreau" at the JUNGEN! Staatstheater Braunschweig in 2021, has developed an independent form that uses the poetic means of shadow theater and the emotional integration of music to conjure up a play for the whole family on the big stage.
