Doctor Dralle & De Ramönsche

Shortly before the great birthday celebration of Christianity, two bands take to the stage in the Sonic Ballroom whose main aim is to give the audience the best melodic punk rock in Kölsch language.
De Ramönsche are a band from Leverkusen who have set themselves the task of adding Cologne lyrics to songs by the honorable Ramones, scrubbing selected songs by the honorable Bläck Föös in Ramones style and similar experiments
The Rhenish Kölsch punk quartet, which formed on a beer whim in 2014, emulates its heroes, the Ramones, not only in terms of sound but also visually: Like their idols, De Ramönsche do without unnecessary intellectual ballast such as intros, solos or other musical subtleties bordering on art. They always manage at least 30 tracks per hour at the right tempo.

The three middle-class punkers from Doktor Dralle have been playing together in the classic line-up of guitar, drums and bass since 2018, presenting songs in fast 4/4 time that prove that you can sing op kölsch not only about the cathedral and the Rhine. There are also songs in High German on the setlist, where the audience is encouraged to sing along - especially at the offensive parts. Comparisons with the self-proclaimed "best band in the world" from Berlin are often made between the three doctors, who like to perform in grubby lab coats combined with the tightest leggings still legally available, and even if this musical and lyrical proximity is not intentional, it cannot be dismissed out of hand. To complete the picture, a superlative at the end: Doktor Dralle are not the best band in the world, but they are, according to their own statement, the most well-groomed band in Cologne.
