To kick off the "NikoGrooves" theme weekend, there will be a multi-media concert in which the sounds of the KAPmodern ensemble can also be experienced visually. Steve Reich, the old master of minimal music, contrasts the fascinating kaleidoscope of colors and shapes in the film "Moving Picture 946-3" by Gerhard Richter and Corinna Belz with an equally differentiated panorama of sounds. The result is a cosmos of constantly changing images and sounds, the attraction of which has an immediate effect on all the senses. This also applies to "Infra" by Max Richter, which was originally conceived as ballet music but has also been performed in the concert hall since 2014. Its typical sound of electronics and chamber music proves once again that the greatest art is often hidden in reduction.
