On 01.07.2004 the Killers played for the first time in Hamburg at Molotow. There were about 40 people there.
Mr. Brightside was not so celebrated at that time. Nobody suspected that this song would become one of the biggest
indie anthems of all time. The Molotow certainly played a not inconsiderable part in this, as the song's hit potential was immediately recognized here and it was often played. That's why the Molotow can dedicate a party to this song and celebrate the golden 2000s. A decade that was characterized by countless indie and pop gems, which gave
gave pop punk a new lease of life and spawned the emo scene.
We celebrate the incredible bands of this era, such as Bloc Party, Paramore and Avril Lavigne.
