Mundraub-Tour

In the organizer's words:

How can we obtain fruit locally, environmentally friendly and free of charge? The Mundraub database (mundraub.org) provides locations and information on locally accessible, edible plants. Together with Michael Berninger from the "Essbare Stadt" initiative, we will go on a Mundraub tour by bike, deepen our knowledge of edible plants and harvest seasonal local fruit together. Afterwards, we will learn more about the processing of rowan berries in a workshop.

Part of the harvest will then be presented in our current collection exhibition in the installation "The Top of the Truck that Hit the Bridge (seasonal fruit stand)" from 1999. Dan Peterman transformed the metal roof of an accident-damaged truck into a kiosk. In the exhibition space, it functions as a meeting point and place for encounters. Seasonal fruit is served on the trays that form part of the installation. It is about the idea of sharing food and spending time together, but also about organic processes of ripening and decomposition.

Please bring enough containers to transport the harvest.
