Hardly any other musician knows how to combine classical compositions with modern influences like Nils Frahm. Having grown up with the piano, the composer and producer now uses a whole range of instruments such as the grand piano, glass harmonica and harpsichord. He also plays the synthesizer, uses loops, echo effects and samples, the audience and his talent for improvisation.
Since 2011, Frahm has been a steadily growing name in the international music scene. In addition to several solo works, he has collaborated several times with other contemporary musicians and has also written film music, winning awards for Victoria (2015), among others.
As part of his Music for Tour, Frahm is coming to the Ruhr region for two concerts that mix old and new in a unique way.
