THE FILM

On a summer day in New York, everything seems to happen at once for young trans Latino Feña: Papa Pablo comes to visit from Chile and suddenly seeks contact, his heterosexual ex-boyfriend John gets in touch again after months of radio silence and then his 13-year-old half-sister Zoe shows up at the door. But relationships have changed since Feña's transition. He asks himself how much closeness with the people from his old life feels right.

THE PROJECT
Young people from the Krebelshof youth center, the Magnet and Villa OTs and the Bauwagen youth club watched films on ten different dates. The Filmhaus Köln selected a selection of feature-length films from the Berlinale Generation 14plus section. Finally, the project participants decided on three films.
The open-air cinema in Volkhoven is therefore entering its second round this year. After the cinema had to move from the Generationenpark to the Villa after the first screening last year, this year it is taking place in a new location: on the grounds of the Simultanhalle.
