On October 4, NACKT will release their debut album "Ein Jahrhundertgeschenk für die Republik" on Listenrecords. If that's not a reason to celebrate!

That's why the band is inviting you to their release concert at Amadeus Oldenburg on October 12. In addition to their fine catalog of songs and enemy images, which always make for swinging dance legs, the evening also has one or two surprises in store. Elli Hassler will open the evening.

For outsiders, the pop music topography of north-west Germany usually remains terra incognita until they - quite literally - venture into the field.* And this country excursion is worthwhile, because musical gems can also be found far away from the big cities, in this case behind Bremen.

Take the group NACKT: four musicians who are preparing to conquer the stages of the republic from Oldenburg in Lower Saxony: The country bumpkins have been tinkering with their sound and live set in a damp cellar in the kale capital for some time now. Thanks to their collaboration with the Berlin label Listenrecords, Paula, Fabian, Peter and Tabea are now really daring to break cover.

With a lot of energy and two twinkling eyes, NACKT assemble ironic, razor-sharp German-language pieces: Patriarchy, nationalism, capitalism, racism, philistinism, militarism - no stone is left unturned here. Thematically, the band is treading on very thin ice (ouch!), but social criticism is handiwork. The danceable, detail-loving synthpop garb dresses up the big firewalls and small jibes in a very special way. Politics can also be fun. And admittedly, at some point, everyone is bound to feel caught out when the assembled antagonists are sung about or are even brought up themselves
