NDR BIGBAND: People, Places and Things

In the organizer's words:

"People, Places and Things", the program that Charlie Bates wrote for his collaboration with the NDR Bigband, is actually self-explanatory - the compositions for this program are abouthuman encounters, joyful and depressing, inspiring places and observations that made an impression on Bates before "lockdown" or "contact ban" became words that describe our everyday lives. Written during the lockdown, these compositions are always about the quiet melancholy that is combined with the memory of feelings and a liveliness that was not allowed to be for a long time.
