When Mr Bungle goes out to play Botch with Meschuggah and Magma, the listener's ear can get a little spooky!
For anyone already familiar with Ni, the title of the third album must bring a smile. Fol Naïs, literally "bornmad" in old French, is the name for the fools and fools of history. This symbol of non-conformity could not be more appropriate for this new release by the most unclassifiable Rhône-Alpes quartet!
Complex, dissonant, jagged, at times frightening and brute, this is what they are like on stage. Their remarkable inventiveness, their sometimes martial-seeming heaviness give no direct hint of how unexpectedly danceable their compositions can be in human tissue! Their eternal love for the things they do makes them one of the leading representatives of a musical genre that they reinvent with every note.

"Hond, turn up the volume." - "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHH!!!" Sometimes you stop in front of a rehearsal room door and your jaw just drops to make way for a facial expression that can only be described as "awesome". What the hell is that banging coming out of the door? Why can they all really play their instruments and make them squeak? Are they practicing! Why is there always something unexpected happening in the songs, and what is being barked at so violently? Here, garage rock as well as punk and metal are shown that you can still surprise on every pissed up tree. Come and sniff, people.
