Ivan Locke actually lives a perfect life with a family and a dream job. He works as a site manager and is on his way from Birmingham to London. A gigantic construction project is about to start in Birmingham and he is responsible for ensuring that it runs smoothly. Nevertheless, there are major problems because an extremely important concrete delivery has been announced for the following day, which is to form the foundations of the building.

Ivan, a rational man, has to coordinate everything perfectly to ensure that everything runs smoothly. But Ivan informs his boss the evening before that he won't be coming. The planned soccer match with his family is also canceled today. The hospital where a former colleague of Ivan's is giving birth tonight is in London. His child.

Sebastian Kubis takes on the role of the tragic soloist and tries to save his private and professional life in just under 90 minutes. He is accompanied by live music from Dominik Poch and the ensemble of Theater Essen-Süd, who lend their voices to the other characters in the production and appear in video projections.
