September 13, 2024 marks the 80th anniversary of Noor Inayat Khan's death. Since 2016, a memorial plaque at the concentration camp memorial has commemorated the resistance fighter, writer, child psychologist and spiritual teacher. She is part of Bavaria's culture of remembrance (article in the Süddeutsche Zeitung) and there is growing interest in the context of new approaches to the culture of remembrance in a globalized society and also in relation to non-European resistance to fascism.

On the occasion of Remembrance Day on September 13, the Heilbronn publishing house in Munich (Mathildensaal, Mathildenstr. 4) is presenting the new publication of Noor Inayat Khan's complete works in German. In addition to a greeting from the Bavarian. State Ministry of Science and the Arts, Dr. Zia Inayat Khan, co-author of the Collected Works and nephew of the author, will introduce the life and work of the author. David Harper, nephew of Noor Inayat Khan and author of "Exposing the Reich" will read from her work. The event will be accompanied by music and will be followed by a book signing with Dr. Zia Inayat Khan. Free admission.

Noor Inayat Khan's literary work bears witness to wisdom, grace and spiritual radiance and offers an independent creative approach to the teaching of spiritual freedom in the spirit of her father, the musician and mystic Hazrat Inayat Khan. Her texts from different literary genres: Fairy tale, saga, legend, fable and her own fictional story are full of poetry; they live from the great diversity of her narrative art and the subtle beauty of her language.

The variety of cultural, religious and literary paths she trod in her short lifetime is a characteristic feature of Noor Inayat Khan's oeuvre. The teachings of the Sufis, the holy scriptures of the world's religions, the legends of Greece and India, medieval epics, animal fables, traditions of Christmas customs, the aesthetics of opera and film - all these different perspectives attracted her gaze and inspired her pen.

On the same day, 13.9.24 at 2 p.m. in the Protestant Church of Reconciliation at the Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial, there will be a public interreligious memorial service with the participation of the nephew Dr. Zia Inayat Khan.

On 14.9.24 at 2 p.m. in the cinema hall, the concentration camp memorial will hold a ceremony for the four SOE agents murdered in Dachau, including Noor Inayat Khan, with the participation of their families.
