On the occasion of the new edition of the film Nosferatu by Robert Eggers, Krishan Zeigner (drums/percussion) & DJ Légères (production, live electronics, samlper, FX) have worked on a new soundtrack for the silent film classic Nosferatu by Friedrich Murnau. It is not so much a soundtrack in the traditional sense, but rather a score with modern sounds that integrates stylistic elements from jazz, downbeat, electroacoustic music, electronically produced, repetitive and sample-based music. This approach enables the artists to support the emotional images of the film as well as to create an additional acoustic level that can be perceived parallel to the action on the screen.
The live soundtrack consists of an interplay of live drums, percussion and a DJ set consisting of feeders, sampler, mixer and various effects.
