Not Standing/Alexander Vantournhout ›Foreshadow‹

In his artistic practice, Brussels shooting star Alexander Vantournhout combines dance and circus in ever new ways. In 'Foreshadow', everything revolves around balance and gravity: eight acrobatic dancers move across the stage and wall like a collective body, as if they were cogwheels in a gearbox. They support each other with their shoulders, feet and knees, challenge each other and defy gravity. In this endless game of impossible balances, all the movements interlock precisely. The choreography works like clockwork to the sounds of experimental rock music by the British band This Heat.
