the bottomline

Cologne duo the bottomline have already caused quite a stir with their unique genre mix of jazz, classical and trip-hop. Franzis Lating (voc, p, synth) and Johannes Elia Nuß (drums, synth) combine supposedly contradictory musical traditions with their live program for their studio debut album FORGOTTEN STARS, released at the end of 2022, and prove that it is possible to deal with the difficult issues of the present in a differentiated musical way. Music journalists have praised them as "a congenial, musically and technically highly talented duo" (KStA), "highly topical" (NDR Kultur Neo) and "fascinating" (Jazzthing & Blue Rhythm). the bottomline take the listener on an intergalactic journey in which space and time seem to dissolve.
