Listen (t)here! feat. C:mone
Jazz / Beats / Electronics
On Friday and Saturday evenings, the LOCH is transformed into the OFFEN:BAR
For the ninth edition of "Listen (t)here!" from the EstEstEst wine store on the Ölberg, the focus is on a music genre that is very influential for the store: jazz! The reason? The great, clearly very jazz-affine C:mone is our guest DJ! And in order to bring the wine store from Marienstraße into the hole, there will be 1-3 special wines on this evening - as has already been established. Thank you for dancing!
C:mone aka Tuincy Bright has been enriching the Cologne music scene with his versatile DJ sets since 2007. Rooted in early hip hop culture, her musical spectrum ranges from jazz, funk, soul, disco, rap and R&B to house, afrobeat and experimental sounds. In different settings such as clubs, bars, concert openings and art galleries, what Kool And The Gang once said is fulfilled anew every time:
"Music is the message that sings universal love for one and all."
In January 2020, she launched the party and mixtape series "Selectricity" in collaboration with the visual artist and illustrator Giza from Cologne. On the occasion of Black History Month 2022, Selectricity collaborated with Decolonize Cologne, an initiative founded by three female historians, and curated a mix series of Black DJs whose voices personalized and musically continued the work of decolonization.
Since 2021, C:Mone has been part of the DJ collective E.P.I.Q, which consists of eight female DJs from Cologne who join forces to create magical events in and outside of Cologne.
Since November 2022, C:Mone has been playing her monthly radio show "Listen, here..." on Dublab DE, featuring old and new favorite tracks.
