about Ashia BISON ROUGE
Bison embodies the earthy, analog sound of a cello, while Rouge ignites with flowing electric sounds and soulful vocals. Together they are a female force of nature in electronics, ambient classical and modern folk. Sometimes as a concert, sometimes as a ritual, their atmospheric songs captivate audiences in clubs, churches and at open-air festivals with their unique and breathtaking performance style. Sliding between avant-garde genres, their music finds its place alongside composers such as Björk, Agnes Obel, Sudan Archives and Johnny Greenwood.
On the album "Oder" , the virtuoso musician transports the listener to wonderful river landscapes. Ashia successfully elicits unique sounds from the cello - haunting, memorable and intense."
