Jörg Winde's photographs explore the built and designed, man-made spaces, buildings, objects and landscapes with a curious and sensitive eye. The Dortmund photographer finds his subjects within and outside Europe and also in his own living environment. They are private interiors of people from very different backgrounds, industrial plants, Ruhr area landscapes, but also places of representative power or buildings of important architects. What these works have in common is the desire to capture the world: inside, outside, in depth - sometimes with a wide view, sometimes focused on detail. Winde emphasizes the sculptural character of objects in rooms and landscapes in precise, strict pictorial compositions and with the targeted use of light of different qualities.

He condenses his works into series that are often created over years, sometimes decades. The exhibition shows a selection of these series from 40 years of photographic work.
