Hailing from the Swedish town of Kristinehamn, Oh Hiroshima currently consists of brothers Jakob Hemström (guitar/vocals) and Oskar Nilsson (drums). Oh Hiroshima began over 15 years ago as a modest DIY post-rock recording project. Since then, the band has evolved into a highly respected recording and live entity with a solid presence in post-rock circles and beyond. They are known for their emotive sonic palette, seamlessly blending powerful crescendos with delicate melodies and atmospheric vocals, all backed by impressive songwriting. Over the years, the band's sound and style has changed, incorporating elements of shoegaze, indie rock, post-punk and much more. A diversity that over time has made it difficult to fully categorize the band into one genre.

The OX fanzine once wrote very cleverly about the Pinoreks:
"The quartet succeeds very well in combining influences from classic British post-punk bands like BUZZCOCKS, WARSAW, WIRE or GANG OF FOUR with the dark and driving gloomy punk of German bands like EA80, in whose supporting program the band would fit well, FLIEHENDE STÜRME or MONOZID. The songs all have a very strong and captivating rhythm segment, the guitar is often edgy and jangly like GANG OF FOUR, and musically absorb the nervous fever and restlessness of the early eighties without rehashing clichés. It would have been easy to imagine the band playing their set between PVC and MITTAGSPAUSE at the "Mauerbaufestival" in August 1978 on the occasion of the opening of SO36 in Berlin (had they been active at the time)."
