About her work:

Olivia's paintings are battling shapes, gritty textures chafing against one another, incomplete planes of color always on the verge of being dissolved by an under-layer, an entirely undiscovered world peering through the transparency of brush strokes. Geometry gets chipped away at, regularity is opposed, an infinite amount of nuance and detail comes out of the struggle. Like tectonic plates haphazardly crushing and tearing each other, as icons and symbols slowly emerge from the chaos. If you've ever seen olivia at work, you would know there's always a point where you think you're on front of a finished work and she says: "it's just not there yet". An hour or day, week or month later, you'll find the same piece, ideas intact yet transfigured and she'll say: "it feels right, it's done".
