Distorted electric guitar riffs, floating clarinet notes and pulsating beats: the collective Tercera Práctica presents its multimedia concert "One Sound Fills The Sky" on November 2 at 8 pm in the studio space of Schopf 2 in Freiburg.

At the heart of the program are compositions by the American composer Pauline Oliveros, who is considered a pioneer of 20th century electronic music. She is considered a pioneer of 20th century electronic music. Her original text-based compositions leave plenty of creative freedom and invite both the musicians and the audience to open their ears to new ways of perceiving sound. In addition, the collective performs works by contemporary electroacoustic composers: Sungji Hong, Robert Menczel, Sarah Nemtsov, Matias Rosales and a world premiere by Nicolás Kliwadenko.

The four musicians of Tercera Práctica (Paul Ebert - drums, Robert Menczel - electric guitar, Matías Rosales - electronics, Mélanie Vibrac - bass clarinet) stage the program as a holistic audiovisual show with flowing transitions and immersive visuals. The ensemble breaks with classical concert rituals and combines acoustic instruments and an experimental sound language with a club atmosphere.

The collective also invites its audience to actively participate in the concert. On the day of the event at 5 pm, the musicians will be offering a free workshop on experimental sound research and free improvisation. The participants will rehearse a work by Pauline Oliveros as a joint contribution by the audience and ensemble - all without classical instruments or sheet music, so participation is possible without any previous musical knowledge! The aim is to break down the barrier between the stage and the auditorium and thus enable new facets of listening. Before the concert, there will also be a short introduction to the concert at 19:30 in the adjoining room.
