Just like the gemstone, the music of the band Opaal sparkles in a variety of colors. The pop duo consisting of Tammo Schade (27; guitar, synth) and Tommi Schädler (28; vocals, synth) impressively demonstrates that we live in a time in which genre boundaries can be mercilessly blown up: sound elements from NDW, a good portion of 80s pop drowning in reverb and the occasional trap beat and modern autotune vocals complement each other to create a melange that is difficult to categorize in existing grids. But there is one thing you can be sure of: There is a positive outlook for the future. And the band's sound conveys this with grand gestures.
