From 31.10. to 2.11.2024 , O.R.PHEUS FRAGMENTS invites you on a retrofuturistic journey into speculative futures , in which trans- and posthumanist (nightmare) dreams come to life.
The hybrid format between preview and exhibition is a critical and, in view of generative AI, highly topical commentary on the human urge to overcome all boundaries by means of technological innovations - regardless of the possible consequences. Visitors explore an intimate space station that has fallen out of time on their own and canreanimate the seemingly lifeless using augmented reality.
With O.R.PHEUS, the multi-award-winning Munich-based XR artist Evelyn Hriberšek anticipated the development of immersive worlds of experience and possible (negative) consequences of technology back in 2012, which seem to be becoming our reality in the face of digital evolution - and fueled by Silicon Valley.
