This Thursday: NIA Power Trio

The music of the NIA Power Trio is humanity set to music. It deals with love and loss, fears and longings - sometimes poetically packaged, sometimes completely raw and unadorned. The three friends Antonia, Jannik and Jakob use their musical skills to create an energetic and expressive band sound that draws on folk, pop and rock genres and sprinkles a pinch of jazz attitude over the songs here and there at the end. The word "power" is a bit of a misnomer, because the power comes less from distorted guitars and breakneck beats, but rather from the unconditional will to the song itself. The entire setup seeks and finds the core of the song - the point at which everything comes together. And it is precisely when the jazz tracks in these songs come to the fore that things become special. That's when another magic happens: The songs now take on something indulgent and timeless in which the listener can simply lose themselves.
