"Pablo Ferrández is really something special... wonderful tone, very refined vibrato, a flawless left and right hand, and a true musician," says none other than Anne-Sophie Mutter about the Spaniard, born in 1991, who is one of the leading cellists of the younger generation. With his profound musicality, his charisma and not least with his Stradivarius cello from 1696, Ferrández delights critics and audiences alike on the world's great stages. For his debut in Münster, he has a program to melt away: Beethoven's groundbreaking 3rd Cello Sonata is a favourite work in his repertoire and Brahms' 1st Cello Sonata is perhaps one of the most beautiful works ever written for this instrument.
