Peppa feiert Weihnachten

In the cozy studio theater of the Alte Wursterei in Cologne-Ehrenfeld, children from the age of 3 can attend a performance together with their parents or grandparents. The performances last half an hour. An exit fee is charged after the performance, depending on your preference and ability. Afterwards, the rustic backyard invites you to linger. You can enjoy a delicious sausage and children's punch or waffles and hot chocolate. Children get a free drink. And if you like, you can draw Peppa a picture or write a letter.

"Peppa celebrates Christmas" is one of six productions for young audiences. The non-verbal dance theater pieces use dance, clowning and music to tell stories on topics from the children's world of experience. They are characterized by subtle play, versatile movement vocabulary and sensitive interaction. The productions transcend linguistic and cultural barriers to create emotional experiences without words. They stimulate the children's imagination, their own desire to play and create and the (also verbal) exchange between them. Since 2018, Peppa has been touring nurseries in Cologne, the surrounding area and Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and can also be seen at the Alte Wursterei. She has already reached more than 8000 young viewers.

It cooperates nationwide with actors from culture and education and is a member of the International Association of Theater for Children and Young People ASSITEJ. Projects have been awarded the Kölner Kunstsalon Theaterpreis 2022, nominated for the Kölner Theaterpreis 2024, 2023 and 2008, the Kinder- und Jugendkulturpreis NRW 2016 and the Preis für Kulturelle Bildung 2013 des Bundesbeauftragten für Kultur und Medien.
