The subterranean location of the AkademieGalerie is hidden and almost invisible, just like the life we want to tell you about: Queer life often still takes place in secret and hidden! The exhibition shows felt and video works as well as performances that deal with love, memory and death. It is an ode to desire, love and the lives of queer people who have long been criminalized and pathologized. The glass façade of the AkademieGalerie is completely covered with a work inspired by Hervé Guibert's photograph "le fiancé" (the groom).
