19-year-old Linnéa leaves her small Swedish town and moves to Los Angeles to become the next big porn star as Bella Cherry. But the road is rockier than expected. Although she quickly gets her first jobs, the business is merciless. Bella realizes that she only has a chance if she does everything that is asked of her without exception, even if this means humiliation and pain. But how far can she go to achieve her goal?

In PLEASURE, director Ninja Thyberg reveals an unsparing look at a male-dominated business based on lust, violence and power. Her authentic feature film debut, which is told from a consistently female perspective, is cast with real actors and big names in the industry, with the exception of the lead role. The multi-award-winning film was part of the official selection of the 2020 Cannes Film Festival and celebrated its acclaimed premiere at the 2021 Sundance Film Festival.

Museum of Communication Speaking of Sex (October 2, 2024 to September 1, 2025)

Sexuality is identity, fun and difficult to describe in words. Culture, education and images from film and television shape our perception of it. From autumn 2024, the Museum für Kommunikation Frankfurt will be showing how conversations and perceptions about sexuality have changed over the last 100 years, opening up a space for reflection, curiosity and dialog about the most beautiful minor matter in the world. An exhibition with financial support from the Federal Center for Health Education.
