Ready for a musical-multimedia poetry journey?

On November 14, the anniversary of the death of Istanbul poet Orhan Veli Kanık, our journey starts from the Bosphorus to the Rhine! The ensemble accompanies the travelers with music, settings, illustrations, videos and atmospheric sounds from Istanbul.

Orhan Veli Kanık is considered one of the most innovative poets of the 20th century and an important pioneer of modern Turkish literature. His poetry fascinates generations not only through its innovation and the simplicity of its language, but also through its themes, which are still highly topical today.

The ToL Academy and the GAROA publishing house have re-translated a selection of his works and created a unique multimedia book under the project management of Tuba Tunçak. The contents of the book are now made visible and tangible on stage - like a bridge between cultures.

An event full of music, poetry and emotion. Not a classic reading, but a uniquely staged stage experience in German and Turkish!

• Tuba Tunçak (presenter, translator, project manager)
• Hasan Özgür Beytaş (video artist, musician, ukulele, oud, guitar)
• Ensemble Fisfüz with Annette Maye (clarinet, composer) and Murat Coşkun (percussion, lecturer and composer), who are not only at home in Istanbul, Cologne or Freiburg thanks to their diverse range of music. It is a home of sounds that they can inhabit anywhere together with their enthusiastic audience - both in the Orient and in the Occident.

Boğaz'dan Ren'e Şiir Köprüsü

Orhan Veli Kanık şiirleri ve müzikler eşliğinde

Sesler, sözler, görseller ve müzikle 14 Kasım akşamı Kulturbunker'de İstanbul havası esecek. Sadece Orhan Veli Kanık şiirleri ve şiirlerinden bestelenmiş şarkılar eşlik etmeyecek bu yolculuğa. Aynı zamanda Ensemble Fisfüz'ün besteleleri ile şairin iç dünyasına uzanıp sözcüklerin büyüsüne kapılacağız birlikte. Şairimizi ölüm yıldönümünde hep birikte anacağız.

Sesini sahneden, radyo prodüksiyonları ve WDR'deki programlarından tanıdığımız Ralph Erdenberger, nostaljik bir rüzgar estirecek bu yolculukta. Tuba Tunçak ve müzisyen-filmci ekip arkadaşı Hasan Özgür Beytaş da müzikli sohbetlerini, özgün illüstrasyonlarla bezeyecekler.

Bu sayede, birden çok duyumuza hitap eden iki dilli, sıradışı ve keyfi bol bir etkinlik çıkacak ortaya.Gösteridençıktığınızda sizler de muhtemelen "Demek bu şarkı da bir Orhan Veli şiirinden bestelenmiş!" diyeceksiniz tadı damağınızda kalarak...
