In the royal palace of Cambodia, a dancer raises a boy as if he were one of her own children. Decades later, she learns that her foster son is none other than Pol Pot - the communist dictator who, with the help of the Khmer Rouge, wiped out a quarter of his country's population between 1975 and 1979. Cologne-based documentary filmmaker Enrique Sánchez Lansch combines impressive choreography with archive footage and interviews with contemporary witnesses. Art as pain relief for one of the greatest mass murders in human history.
