Known as one half of the Berlin indie duo "Gurr", Andreya Casablanca proves with her solo project that she is not afraid to experiment with genres outside her comfort zone. In her own songs, she mixes the classic garage rock guitar sound with drum machine sounds, a little MTV dance music from the 2000s and poppy vocal lines. She breaks out of the classic indie arrangement and dives into poppier realms, although her new musical excursions still inevitably thrive on lo-fi and her explosive style.
