Posaunen Ensemble / Art of the trio Ensemble

On this evening, the Jazz course at the HfMT presents the Trombone Ensemble under the direction of Prof. Dan Gottshall, the Saxophone Ensemble under the direction of Asya Fateyeva and the Art of the Trio Ensemble under the direction of Prof. Buggy Braune.

Trombone Ensemble: What's better than a trombone? Four trombones!!! From the trombone section work of the big band, Prof. Dan Gottshall develops a very special kind of ensemble sound together with his instrumental class Jazz Trombone and an energetic rhythm section. With so much "bone" power on stage, the back-and-forth trumpets perform two sets full of wonderful harmonies and wild dissonances and, above all, a tight section sound that you rarely get to hear.

Art of the trio Ensemble: A classic instrumentation in jazz is the trio. Whether as a piano trio like Keith Jarrett's or other unconventional trio combinations, this ensemble sheds light on the special features of playing together as a threesome, because "three are a crowd".
