Leipzig, 1681: fifteen-year-old Anna Voigt is on trial for allegedly killing her newborn baby. The authorities want to see her sentenced, she is threatened with death - like many other girls and women at the time who are accused of the same crime. But this case is different: not only does she have a powerful father who stands up for her. But there is also a doctor who dares to do something spectacularly new and develops a scientific procedure that will go down in medical history as the "lung floatation test". The aim is to prove that it was indeed a stillbirth, as Anna insists, and not a murder. Can she be saved?
