On Friday, September 27, 2024, citizens can once again experience democracy up close: The President of the State Parliament, André Kuper, is inviting people to the "Parliament Night 2024" at the State Parliament on the banks of the Rhine in Düsseldorf.
From 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. , guests can experience the "heart of democracy" in North Rhine-Westphalia in a special evening atmosphere and can look forward to music, entertainment and information. Astronaut Dr. Matthias Maurer, the Düsseldorf Symphony Orchestra, the WDR Radio Choir, caricaturist Heiko Sakurai and magician Yuta Maruyama will be among the performers. The political groups will be presenting their own activities.
The visit is free of charge. Prior registration is not necessary.
President Kuper says: "The state parliament building is the 'House of Citizens' in North Rhine-Westphalia. I cordially invite you to experience your state parliament in a special evening atmosphere, to find out about parliamentary democracy and the work of the members of parliament and to engage in conversation with us. I look forward to seeing you at the Parliament Night 2024."
