"Le Villi" in concert & a musical biography

Giacomo Puccini hit the bull's eye with his first stage work Le Villi and proved his feeling for the perfect melody. He masterfully set the gruesomely beautiful legend of an unfaithful fiancé who is killed by Willis' frenzied dancing to music. Udo Wachtveitl introduces the evening before the concert and tells Puccini's captivating life story - musically illustrated by the Münchner Rundfunkorchester.
Season opener at the Munich Radio Orchestra with chief conductor Ivan Repušić, the BR Choir, Anita Hartig, Kang Wang and Boris Pinkhasovich.
